On December 28, 2021, the School of Integrated Social Sciences and the Center for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR), University of Lahore hosted Dr. Syed Mohammed Ali for a conversation on the future of Pak-U.S. bilateral relations. Dr. Ali, after giving a brief overview of Pak-U.S. relations, shared his thoughts on ways to reset them. He argued that given the very different threats that the world faces, both sides need to build a relation based on realistic goals and expectations. He also highlighted how Washington’s adversarial engagements with Beijing in the region do not help resetting these all-important, fractured ties. Watch the conversation here:
