On March 20, Research Associate, Center for Security, Strategy and Policy Research(CSSPR), Syed Ali Zia Jaffery, hosted Col. David O. Smith, Distinguished Fellow at the Stimson Center, for a discussion on his new book entitled “The Wellington Experience: A Study of Attitudes and Values Within the Indian Army.” Both discussed the training of the officer cadre of the Indian Army, and what that tells about its preparation to respond to the changing nature and conduct of war. The discussion also delved into how the thinking of the Indian Army on topics like Pakistan and its nuclear weapons could impact strategic stability in the region. Watch the conversation here:
