Call for Papers

We live in a highly globalized world with social, political, environmental, developmental and entrepreneurial fault lines that continue to shape our lives as citizens of this world. Humanity in general has been suffering at the crossroads of these fault lines. Research in interdisciplinary Social Sciences, within and across social science disciplines, in the 21st century provides the intellectual frame of reference to offer insights into empowering humanity for a better world and safer future.

The University of Lahore and Mirpur University of Science and Technology jointly present an international interdisciplinary social science conference titled ‘Empowering Humanity: Socio-Political, Environmental, Developmental & Entrepreneurial Perspectives for a Better World’ to address the following broad sub-themes:

Abstract Guidelines & Information

The abstracts will undergo blind peer-review process. Once accepted, notifications will be sent. Please send your abstract at: SSConf19@uol.edu.pk

  • Maximum 250 words.
  • Be concise. Identify your theme correctly.
  • Please add your brief biography in the abstract document.
  • If your abstract is accepted, you will be invited to register for the conference. At least one of the authors of the paper must register and pay the registration fees for the conference by 15th October 2019 to be included in to the final program.

Students                                                         PKR. 1000

Researchers & Professionals                      PKR. 1200

Foreign Delegates                                       US$ 100 (on-site registration available)

You will receive a confirmation receipt upon payment of the registration fee. Please note that a single registration permits only one person to attend the conference. Registered participants who have submitted papers will be provided accommodation and meals for the conference.
