The Center for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR) will host a three-day Media an Security Workshop from March 24 until March 26, 2022. Aimed at understanding the linkage between media and national security as well as looking at the effects of the phenomena of fake news, disinformation, and propaganda on media discourses, this workshop invites undergraduate students from Pakistan and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), to participate and interact with experts in the fields of media and security. The workshop will focus on generating nuanced debates on the changing media and security landscapes, with a view to identifying ways to establish a relationship which allows for the media to contribute positively to strengthening national security.
