On July 19, 2023, Chairman, Board of Governors, The University of Lahore(UoL), and President, Center for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR), Mr. Awais Raoof, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Balkan Studies Center at the International University of Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina. The MoU will facilitate joint research between the two varsities and think tanks on key security, foreign policy, and strategic issues that affect both countries and regions. In his meeting with Rector, International University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Yıldırım, Mr. Awais Raoof said it is important to deepen academic linkages between the two countries, with a view to broadening the scope of their relations. The signing ceremony was graced by Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Maj. Gen Akhtar Jamil Rao. While thanking the Ambassador for his contributions in increasing Pakistan’s academic reach in the said country and the region, Mr. Awais Raoof, on behalf of UoL, committed to helping promote Pakistan and its interests in the broader region.
