Dr. Akhtar Speaks on the Nuclear Nonproliferation Regime on Al-Jazeera

On August 2, 2022, Director, Center for Security, Strategy and Policy Research (CSSPR), Dr. Rabia Akhtar, appeared on  Al-Jazeera’s Inside Story, to discuss the nature and structure of the nuclear nonproliferation regime in the context of the ongoing Review Conference (RevCon) of the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons (NPT). Shedding light on the organized hypocrisy of the ‘recognized’ nuclear club, Dr. Akhtar said bigger nuclear possessors not only want to retain control of  and over their nuclear arsenals but also endeavor to hijack the debate surrounding rationality.
